Good morning and a blessed Sunday to one and all.
Today is Day 16 of Suzanne’s Cheongsam Challenge and I opted for a deep tomato-red batik cheongsam. (Feeling festive, perhaps?)
This sarong fabric happens to have one overall floral and leafy pattern throughout, hence the front and back of the cheongsam are the ‘same’.
The side shoulder openings and collar are trimmed with matt gold satin, and the simple Chinese style buttons are fashioned from the same coloured trim.
Posing against a backdrop of lush greenery helps to let the deep tomato-red of the sarong fabric steal the limelight. In addition, note that I accessorized the ensemble with understated but elegant crystals and pearls. However, I just had to complete the look with my self-beaded sandals in a similar tone of red (could not resist that)!
At 93, there is no holding back on being stylish (still)!
Have a wonderful day and thank the good Lord for every blessing!
